Tulsa business and community leaders Warren E. Ross (MBA ’03) and Teresa A. Ross (MBA ’01) are devoted alumni and cherished friends of The University of Tulsa. Warren and Teresa run The Ross Group, a successful Tulsa-based construction company that is involved in many of downtown Tulsa’s historic redevelopment projects, as well as other projects across the state and nation.
Jesse Ross, Warren’s father, founded a small carpentry and interior finish company in 1979, making the most of his expertise and skills. In 1996, Warren joined his father’s company after graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, creating The Ross Group Construction Corporation. Teresa graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with undergraduate degrees in both chemical engineering and petroleum engineering. Both spouses pursued MBA degrees at The University of Tulsa, earning their degrees in the early 2000s.
Warren and Teresa Ross, through their Ross Charitable Foundation, have expressed their loyalty to TU with several generous gifts supporting the University School, the Golden Hurricane Club, TU Football, Tennis and Soccer, TU Uncorked, the TU Annual Fund for the Collins College of Business, McFarlin Library and KWGS.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross also have generously given of their time and counsel, with Warren serving on the Collins College of Business Executive Advisory Board and previously on the TU Board of Trustees (2013-18) and on the Board of the Tulsa Chapter of the TU Alumni Association. Together, Teresa and Warren served as chairs of TU Uncorked 2009, which resulted in record-breaking fundraising for The University of Tulsa Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
The University of Tulsa has acknowledged the extraordinary and inspired philanthropy of Warren and Teresa Ross by recognizing them as members of the esteemed Circle Society, President’s Council and the Chapman Legacy Society.
Warren and Teresa Ross have generously supported initiatives and programs of the University School, where their two children have flourished academically. In 2012, Mr. and Mrs. Ross established The Ross Mathematics Endowment Fund for the University School to provide supplemental funding for math instruction at the school for gifted children. Also in 2012, The Ross Family Computer Science Scholar Gift was made to fund a mentor from TU’s Tandy School of Computer Science to work in the University School with the students, and this gift was renewed in 2013 and 2014. Warren and Teresa Ross fortified their mathematics endowment through The Ross Family Gift for the University School Mathematics Program in 2015.
