Nancy and Jerry Henry

Jerry W. Henry (BA 1961, Religion and History) was a proud alumnus of The University of Tulsa, who built a successful career after his TU graduation, working for most of his career as Publications Manager at the Society of Exploration Geophysicists. After his retirement, Jerry and his wife, Nancy A. (Holloway) Henry, traveled across the U.S. and abroad, visiting such countries as Egypt, China and Russia. Jerry also believed in helping others through volunteer work, and he spent much of his retirement in volunteer endeavors, including serving as a Big Brother, reading to children at schools, and driving cancer patients to their treatments.

Jerry Henry had a passion for music and a love of sports, playing both golf and tennis for much of his life. He also was an avid and knowledgeable TU sports fan, cheering on the Golden Hurricane as often as he could.

Jerry and Nancy Henry have been committed supporters of The University of Tulsa, giving numerous gifts to fortify an array of programs, including the Department of Philosophy and Religion, the Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences, the TU Annual Fund, KWGS, and Gilcrease Museum.

In 2000, Jerry Henry committed an estate gift to support his college at TU, the Henry Kendall College of Arts and Sciences. Mr. Henry passed away in December of 2018, but his loyalty to his alma mater will be sustained by his generous bequest. The University of Tulsa remains grateful for the devotion and support of Jerry and Nancy Henry.
