Kayla Acebo Hale

Connor Alexander Acebo is a devoted son who is deeply admired by his mother. Connor’s mother, Dr. Kayla Acebo Hale, is a longtime employee of The University of Tulsa who currently serves as Vice President for University Advancement and Alumni Engagement. In 2013, Dr. Hale honored her son in a way that will foster academic achievement among TU students.

As part of TU’s Pioneer Program, Kayla Hale established a life insurance gift to create a TU endowment named The Connor Alexander Acebo Endowment Fund for the Center for Student Academic Support.

Student Access (formerly known as the Center for Student Academic Support) provides a wide range of resources at TU to enhance student success and increase student retention through programs such as tutoring, individual academic counseling, academic skills workshops, accommodations for students with disabilities, and referrals to other campus and community support services.

The TU community is grateful for this important endowment, which will fortify the services and resources available to TU students in the years to come.
