Julie Ann Curry (BA ’06, Political Science and History) is strongly committed to promoting opportunity in higher education, especially at her alma mater.
Curry’s memories of her college days at The University of Tulsa include the enduring friendships she made through her participation in the TURC Scholars program, Kappa Delta Sorority, the TU Student Association and the University Ambassadors.
She especially treasures her memories of studying abroad while she was a TU student, and the self confidence, worldview and career goals she developed as a result of those experiences. Curry has demonstrated her loyalty to her alma mater through generous gifts supporting the Center for Global Education since her graduation.
Curry launched a successful career after her graduation from TU, and she currently works for the United States Department of State and wishes to make a quality TU education accessible to others, especially those who wish to study abroad. In fulfillment of this wish and as a part of The University of Tulsa’s Pioneer Program, Julie Ann Curry has established a life insurance gift to create a scholarship endowment at The University of Tulsa, which shall be formally recognized as The Julie Ann Curry Endowed Scholarship for Global Study.
