James Robert “Rob” Tolliver, Jr. is a proud and loyal alumnus of The University of Tulsa (BS ’03, Environmental Policy) who is strongly committed to promoting excellence in higher education, especially at his alma mater.
Rob Tolliver continues to appreciate the high quality of the education he received at The University of Tulsa and the challenging curriculum that prepared him well for his career path and remains deeply grateful for the expert instruction, guidance and support he received from his TU professors, especially Dr. Jeffrey D. Hockett, Associate Professor of Political Science.
McFarlin Library holds a special place in Rob’s heart because he recognizes its importance as a treasured campus landmark and a vital center of learning and research, which was instrumental to him in his studies and he also appreciates the support and encouragement of his mother, Dr. Janis I. Zink, a longtime administrator at the University and former Senior Vice President for Planning and Advancement, who made his TU experience possible.
Rob Tolliver wishes to establish his legacy as a loyal alumnus of TU while paying tribute to one of his favorite professors by creating a supplemental support fund for McFarlin Library in honor of Dr. Jeffrey D. Hockett.
In fulfillment of this wish and as part of The University of Tulsa’s Pioneer Program, James Robert Tolliver, Jr. and Janis I. Zink have established a life insurance gift to create an endowment at The University of Tulsa, which shall be formally recognized as The James Robert Tolliver, Jr. Endowment for McFarlin Library Honoring Jeffrey D. Hockett.
