Richard H. Gentry earned a Bachelor of Science degree in print and broadcast journalism from The University of Tulsa in 1951, a master’s degree from Stanford University and a doctoral degree from the University of Illinois Urbana. He served as a professor at Rutgers University, Ohio University and Trinity University.
