Sometimes, the loving support of a parent can make all the difference in the success of a college student. Andrew A. Shank (BS ’02, Exercise Sports Science; MBA ’05; JD ’08) and Brooke R. Shank (BSBA ’04, Management; MBA ’09) continue to appreciate the sacrifices their parents made that enabled them to attend The University of Tulsa and flourish there.

This accomplished couple earned five degrees between them at The University of Tulsa, and they recognize the positive influence that their degrees continue to have on their lives and careers.

In 2010, as part of TU’s Pioneer Program, the couple established two endowed scholarship funds to pay tribute to their parents and the sacrifices they made to ensure that their children could attend TU.

The Gee Gee Barton Endowed Scholarship Fund for the Collins College of Business pays tribute to Brooke Shank’s mother and will support students in the Collins College of Business.

The Larry and Karen Shank Endowed Scholarship Fund for the College of Law pays tribute to Andrew’s parents and will assist students in the TU College of Law.

The University of Tulsa is ever grateful for the support provided by our loyal alumni. The TU family is especially grateful that Brooke and Andrew Shank chose to honor their parents in this meaningful way.
