Anita Ebert is a native Oklahoman, and she continues to have strong family ties to the state. Anita graduated from Central High School in Tulsa, before attending college in Iowa.
Anita married Ralph F. Ebert, a native of Minnesota, who graduated from the University of Minnesota before launching a successful career in electrical engineering. Anita and Ralph always shared an appreciation for higher education and considered it an important avenue to success.
After Ralph passed away in 2003 at the age of 71, Anita hoped to create a permanent tribute to her late husband that would help others reach their higher education goals. She established an estate gift that will fund the Ralph Ebert Memorial Scholarship Endowment Fund at The University of Tulsa. This need-based scholarship program will support first-generation college students from Oklahoma.
The University of Tulsa is deeply grateful to Anita Ebert for her foresight and vision, which will benefit fortunate students at TU for generations to come, while serving as a meaningful tribute to her beloved late husband, Ralph Ebert.
