Andrew and Helen MacKay are esteemed members of the business community in Tulsa, Oklahoma, having worked together to build two extremely successful ventures in Maccor, Inc., a leader around the world in the design and manufacture of battery and cell test equipment, and Unicorp Systems, Inc., a company that specializes in avionic and electrical component repairs.
Mr. and Mrs. MacKay have also become cherished members of The University of Tulsa family, giving generously of their time, talent, and financial resources for many years to support academics, athletics, and Gilcrease Museum. Andrew served as a devoted member of the TU Board of Trustees from 2014 to 2019.
Mr. and Mrs. MacKay’s philanthropy has touched a wide array of programs at TU, including two endowed scholarship funds supporting talented students who qualify for the presidential scholarship program: the Andrew D. and Helen G. MacKay Presidential Scholarship Endowment Fund for the College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and the Andrew and Helen MacKay Endowed Presidential Scholarships in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
The couple also established an annual scholarship fund in 2018. The Andrew D. and Helen G. MacKay Scholarship Fund for Innovation helped recruit talented students from Oklahoma who were interested in the STEM disciplines.
Andrew and Helen MacKay have taken a keen interest in the advancements being made in the College of Engineering and Computer Science in recent years, and they made a significant gift to support the construction of J.
