Amy Marie Freiberger (BSBA ’96, Marketing, MBA ’99) is a proud alumna and former employee of The University of Tulsa, who returned to work at her alma mater in 2004 after working for prominent companies in Tulsa, including Williams, Citgo Petroleum, and Sprint Communications. Amy first served at TU in the Office of Alumni Relations, culminating in her position as the Executive Director of that office before advancing to become the Associate Vice President of University Advancement and Alumni Engagement. Amy has many warm and wonderful memories of her college days at the university, including her participation in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, the University Ambassadors, and the TU Student Association.
As part of The University of Tulsa’s Pioneer Program, Freiberger established a life insurance gift to create two endowments, formally known as The Amy M. Freiberger Endowments for Marketing Scholarships and the TU Alumni Association’s Heritage Collection. Amy has expressed her loyalty to TU through a number of other gifts in addition to the two endowment funds. These include her support for TU Uncorked, the Golden Hurricane Club, the TU Annual Fund for the Collins College of Business, Friends of Finance, and KWGS. TU has acknowledged Amy’s exceptional philanthropy by recognizing her as a member of the esteemed Chapman Legacy Society, the Circle Society, and the President’s Council.
Amy brought the business knowledge gained from her academic instruction at TU, her strong leadership abilities, and her genuine personal warmth to the increasingly significant roles she played in the Office of University Advancement and Alumni Engagement at TU, making a difference for the school that has meant so much to her through the years. While she has moved on in her career to pursue other opportunities, she continues to value the time she spent at TU, both as an outstanding student and as a devoted employee.
