Alma Mary Stueve

Alma Mary Stueve included The University of Tulsa in her estate plans, resulting in generous gifts from her trust to support student scholarships. While Alma was not an alumna of TU, her sister, Ruth M. Stueve, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1936 and was active in Greek life as a member of Phi Mu.

The Alma Mary Stueve Scholarship Fund provides need-based support to students in any major at The University of Tulsa. Alma Mary Stueve was an executive secretary who passed away in 2002 at the age of 92.

Ruth Stueve retired as a supervisor of Skelly Oil Company’s exploration department. Ruth once wrote of her TU experience: “Great influence on my life that cannot be taken away.” Ruth made several gifts to TU during her lifetime, including support for the TU Annual Fund, the Phi Mu Scholarship Fund, and campus improvements. Ruth Stueve passed away in 1989 at the age of 73.

The University of Tulsa is grateful to Alma Mary Stueve, who left a legacy of support for those following in her sister’s footsteps on TU’s campus.
